Lost

The bone was lost.

I only got to chew on it one time for a little while and then...lost.

I was pretty upset. J was, too.

She pulled the couch and the little couch all around the room, swept under them...it was something else. There was all kinds of kibble, a square with dots on it, lots of plastic things from the milk. (the cats steal them and chase them all over. Maniacs) She found a few sparkly red and green things from the Christmas tree. There were several of the things she and the kid put in their hair--to hold it back. Oh, and one fur covered fake mouse that rattled when she threw it.

No bone.

I'll put peanutbutter in your Kong and we'll listen to Daniel, she says. Okay, why not. I'm upset and bored. I like Daniel better than her other computer machine voices.

So...she goes into the kitchen and starts rattling around. When she yelled, Oh, man! I am such an idiot! I knew she found it.

Apparently, she put it on the little table in the kitchen so she would remember to put peanutbutter in it later. Except she's blind and she almost never touches anything on the little table. So that was a stupid idea.

Ahhh, well. I guess it is later. And she put rice cake and peanutbutter in my bone...she was having one. So, I'll forgive her. She had a hard week last week. It wasn't bad, there was just a lot of it, and she's not as young as she used to be.

So, like I said, I'll let it go.

The floor in the living room is clean. The fur monsters are busy. I've got my bone and she's got a cup of her favorite coffee. We're gonna kick back and listen to Daniel.

Take care.
